CSTAR is the Centre for Support and Training in Analysis and Research. It specialises in the biostatistical and methodological areas of health research, both quantitative and qualitative.

CSTAR, which was supported for its first 3 years by the Health Research Board, is now operating as an independent not for-profit centre based in University College Dublin. An associate unit is operating from the University of Limerick. CSTAR offers a consultancy and training service to individuals, institutions and companies carrying out health research in Ireland.
